We are currently in the swing of a major board overhaul and wanted you to be aware of how these changes impact you.

First and foremost, we are going back to our roots and rebuilding our active community and story posting board. This means that if you want to read or post fan fiction in progress, you will need to join our main board at http://www.polarattraction.net/board and read stories in progress there. Only stories that have been completed on our main board will be allowed to be submitted on our archives (http://www.polarattraction.net/efiction). Those stories that are currently in progress in efiction can remain where they are, however, we ask that authors post their entire fics in progress on the main board. Once stories are completed, all chapters should be moved over to the archives within 30 days of completion.

We are also looking for active moderators in polar fan fiction as well as other Roswell pairings in order to increase our participation on the main board. Moderators must be willing to participate at least weekly in the forums in which you are assigned, help us advertise and solicit membership for the board, notify administrators if there are users violating our rules, welcome new members, answer questions about the board here and other places and bring your ideas of how to get more people involved and share them with everyone here. If interested, please send a PM on the main board to one of our administrators.

We are also interested in bringing more non-polar Roswell stories on this board. This means if you’re an active shipper of Alex/Isabel, Alex/Tess, Alex/Liz, Alex/Maria, Kyle/Isabel, Kyle/Tess, Kyle/Liz, Kyle/Maria, Max/Maria, Max/Tess, Michael/Tess, Khivar/Isabel, Khivar/Liz, Rath/Liz, Rath/Maria, Zan/Liz, Zan/Maria, etc then we need your help! We are looking for mods interested in reading these pairings and encouraging authors who do write them to come on over and share their stories in a friendly place. While other ships are also allowed (including dreamers and candies as we have quite a few people on our board who read such) we know that many boards are dedicated exclusively to those areas and want to give other shippers a chance to highlight their couple and shine.

Finally, we hope to gradually increase our non-Roswell options as well. What this will mean for us is still a work in progress, but we’re open to your ideas. Currently we have a growing selection of Crossover Stories and Non-Roswell Stories and we are encouraging all authors and fans of such selections to feel free to share their stories and join our community. We want to develop a place where everyone feels free to share the love of fandom together.

The bottom line is: while we may have started as a board dedicated to one couple, and will continue to have a huge following of fans and stories devoted to that pairing, we want to ensure that as the fandom changes we are able to make our members feel welcome to grow and share their growth with us. We have also been a community and while we’ve let ourselves get away from that for a while, we want to rebuild the community feeling that PA once had before our board crashes and move to the new .net address. We hope all of you will join us.
