  1. What’s the term polar?

  2. Polar is the shipper name of the couple Michael and Liz from the TV show Roswell.

  3. What is Polar Attraction?

  4. Polar Attraction is a website created by the fans of Michael/Liz from the television show Roswell and designed to host stories featuring this pairing. However, it is no longer limited to just stories centered around Michael and Liz--our polar couple or even stories from only the Roswell fandom. All fandoms and pairings are welcome.

  5. What's a beta?

  6. A beta is someone that corrects your story, whether it's grammar, characterization, and plot development. The stories archived here must be beta’ed. If you are in need of a beta (editor), go to the Polar Attraction Looking For...forum and request one as there are numerous volunteers available!.

  7. Where are the stories?

  8. All of our stories are here, safely stored on this board; but require that a user be logged in to view them.

  9. What is our plagiarism policy?

  10. We have a no-tolerance policy for plagiarism here. If an author passes off someone else’s creative work as their own, the story will be deleted, the author will be banned from this website, and we will post a note for all to know what the author did. For additional information regarding our policy, please read the Story Submission Rules If you suspect an author of plagiarism, do not confront them on their thread. Contact us. and let us handle the situation.

  11. Does a story have to be finished to be submitted here?

  12. As this board is now the main board for our fandom (until July 30, 2008 this was just an archive) the answer is no. Your WIPS are now welcome to be posted here, provided they follow the Story Submission Rules

  13. Do I have to be registered to upload stories?

  14. Yes. To do so, you have to go to Login page and click on the register link, fill out the form, and wait for the confirmation email.

  15. Can I change my password?

  16. Yes. You have to login and go to your account, there you’ll see the function.

  17. How do I upload stories?

  18. Before submitting any story, authors are encouraged to read the Story Submission Rules and make sure you are following them. Log into your account, then to add new story, choose a category, and fill out the necessary information, click on preview, and it’ll show you how your fic looks, once that’s done, hit submit, and you are done. Your story will be visible to the public after an administrator reviews it for rule compliance.

  19. How do I add a chapter?

  20. You must be logged in, then go to your account, then to manage stories. Click on add new chapter, fill out the form, preview it, and submit it.

  21. How to change the status of your fic from no to yes or viceversa?

  22. First you must be logged into your account, then go to Manage Srories. Under the title column beside your story title where it says “Complete: No” simply click on the no and it’ll change to yes, and viceversa.

  23. What’s the rating system?

  24. Ratings guideline:
    E (EVERYONE)
    YT (YOUNG TEEN)
    T (TEEN)
    M (MATURE)
    MA (MATURE ADULT)

  25. What are the categories?

  27. How do I leave an author story feedback?

  28. Story and individual chapter feedback are greatly encouraged to keep our authors writing and posting for our enjoyment. To do so, you will need to login to your account and then at the end of each chapter, you will see a link that says “submit review”. Simply rate the story (with five stars being the best) and leave your feedback and then hit submit!

  29. What script is used?

  30. The script used to archive the stories is Efiction. You can find at this website.
